I really don't have much to say about this since I don't promote this one and have chosen not to be a dealer. This is better than the Chinese imports that produce mostly humidity and little steam vapor. I would rather see someone buy a refurbished or scratch and dent of a tier 1 brand.
Steam-Whirl is also one of the pioneers since 1972. This is our most popular low cost alternative to the big box brand. The Steam-Whirl is based out of Las Vegas Nevada. They have service centers in every state so I am comfortable selling their steam generator. This is the lowest price non big name brand generator.
The company obviously has brand recognition but being such a large company. This is one of the few steam generators that I prefer not to sell. This is not a continuous steam generator like the Thermasol or Steamcore. This brand was very popular back in the day. Old school type that is nothing like the latest types.
Third oldest steam generator company in the industry. This is good if you want a single tank pressurized generator but more affordable than Mr. Steam. This brand along with Kohler were the most popular back in the day before the continuous models came on the market. Their steam is nothing like a Thermal or Steamcore.
Learn the difference between each steam generator before you buy.
Great option if you want a deluxe designed home spa. Two smart upgrades beyond other brands: The Teflon coated tank so no need for backflushing. Stainless Steel heating electrodes (not sure why other brands don’t copy this). One of the best buys for longevity of equipment.
AVOID RIPOFF: DO NOT BUY ANY STEAM GENERATOR BEFORE READING THIS
Beware of bogus steam generator reviews and fake comparison websites.

#1 Rule of Steaming
for detox (not relaxation)
Always go from hot to cold and keep the body core temperature no more than 3 degrees higher.
This can only be done with a laser thermometer and knowing based on your weight. Doing lymphatic exercise will help bring fat soluble toxins to the skin instead of just sweating out only water based toxins.
Mr. Steam is our best pressurized tank steam generator. It is more affordable than Thermasol or Steamcore. This is for those that want a lower duty cycle (not as constant and continuous) steam. This works at a higher ata than the lower pressurized closed tank types such as SteamSpa or Elite that produces a much wetter steam we tested.

The first steam generator company founded so they know this technology well. Components and part quality is the best around. Their models are designed to last the longest and have the best warranties in the industry; and also reflected in the cost. avg $1,000-4,500 more than other brands. Great option for deluxe home spa redesigns.
Elite Steam is fairly new compared to the Mr. Steam, Thermasol, and Steamcore which are the pioneers in the industry. This is a single tank pressurized steam generator. For those that want a really affordable generator (much less expensive than Mr. Steam), this one is the one to get. There is much more maintenance and time involved in keeping up the pressurized types. Buy this if you can't afford a Mr. Steam generator.

I have found that the easiest way to conceptualize this product industry is by breaking it down into a tiered rating system.
About 80% of customers end up purchasing a steam generator from Tier 2 level. The rest choose a Tier 1 or Tier 3. Tier 2 is composed of companies that use very confusing marketing for their brands. The reason is because 90% of those brands in this tier are actually “Re-brands” coming from the same 2 manufacturers in China. So these brands are almost identical to one another and so each company just makes up claims and marketing hype to appear different than their competition.
For this reason I have divided up Tier 2 into two sub levels, A and B. The lower the tier the more drawbacks it has versus benefits. So Tier 2B would have maybe a limited warranty for example versus a Brand from Tier 2A.
Rating System based off the following:
Warranty, Fluence of Steam, steel components (304 surgical steel vs stamped steel), Cost per session, Noise, Start up times, Actual wattage used vs wattage manufacturer claims, Thermostat Accuracy, Wet vs Dry steam, lower or higher latent heat index, heat co-efficient (Does it feel like steam or vapor under boiling point), and most of all, customer service when problems arise.
If you want specific information on each brand and how it rates on each of these categories please ask.
Tier 1:
A --SteamCore, SteamSpa, L Series(These have the highest grade components, lowest heat index, driest steam)
B --Mr. STEAM, Thermasol, Amerec
Tier 2:
A -- Roma Steam Generators,
B --Steamist, Kohler Steam Generators, Whirpool Steam Generators, Steam-Whirl
Tier 3:
Series 63, Brands found on Ebay, Elite Steam
(90% of steam generators are re-brands from same two manufacturers in China and most steam generators fall into this Tier)
NOTE: I tell people 98% of the enjoyment of a steam room is the fluence balanced with constant steam. A bad generator will get too hot and then too cool. Make sure you get the right wattage for your steam room dimensions or the steam will NOT be steady.
I am of course happy to consult with you by phone, email, or text to help find the best brand and model for your unique set of needs. Please look to us to be the one stop solution to figuring out how to choose the right steam generator without getting a headache in the process.
Please know that we always seek to have the best sale price out there.

Session Feel:
Overall opinion on how we felt using steam generator
intense as Spa Castle in NYC, Mandarin Oriental
Just like the one at Equinox Gym and
Steams in one minute but steam is not consistant
Typical steam of cheap brands found on Ebay
Not the worst, not the best steam.
Almost like brand 4, but not as bad as tent quality steam
Not bad for a cheap steam generator, but bad steam consistancy
Has steam quality of brand 2 as long as just the right wattage is used. Hi fluence but over saturated room.

The chart above is based on reviewing 8 brands of steam generators that I found locally in spas, used and new steam generators I bought off Ebay. I always review new vs old of the same brand with the same wattage to see how they compare.
The 9 kW is the most popular size generator for nearly all residential users putting a steam generator in their shower.Thermasol and Mr. Steam are my best selling Tier 1 closed tank brands. Read my new review on these brands.Read my new page here.

Wow, it's tough to talk about this one. Just barely and I mean just barely this made it on my site. Definitely not a Thermasol but is the cheapest continuous type generator with dual tanks. It is from China. Not so dry. Higher latent heat index. Lower heat co-efficient. What else can I say. Those on the strictest budgets buy this one.
Backed by the larger company Saunacore. The Spa 2 series is their new open tank line that gives the lowest micron size vapor that their open tank gives. This is the only brand I found that uses surgical steel heaters and boiling tanks. Ritz Carlton, Equinox gyms, Four Seasons and many upscale spas carry this brand. It's also much more expensive.
People continue to take steam baths with limescaled heating elements and don't even wonder why their steam room has a mineral smell and doesn't get as hot as when the steam generator was new.
304 surgical steel heating elements in non pressurized generators should never look like these.
I don't use eucalyptus oil. I put up this video to show what I do for everyone that asks what I do. You MUST roll the leaves. Fresh eucalyptus is a game changing experience.
This is the fan that I use to raise the heat co-efficient of the steam. Feels so good on my feet and tight legs. The are water proof and Amazon sells it for 69 dollars.
We will not be undersold on
any steam generator we sell
Thermasol, Steamist, Mr. Steam, SteamSpa, Steamcore, and Elite Steam
